This is how my career in big city. I come from a small town and work in a company near my home.
This little girl, not so little 😉 (yep, that is me) would like to explore more opportunities and be independent. My parents were worried, but they are supportive, and Aunt that lives in the big city agrees as I would open my eyes to big city life and work.
I had decided to apply for jobs and attended interviews.
Finally, I made it to IBM and started my career and life in a big city as IT Specialist.
First time I have been alone, working outside of my hometown and supporting my own. I’m a little scared and worried as this is a big change for me. I think I’m blessed; I met a lot of cool people along the way, we worked on a project and the project ended, but our friendship continues. I also have good managers and mentors in my IBM career that guide me when I'm in doubt.
In life we will face a lot of difficulties or obstacles, never be afraid, never fear to fail, be brave and there will always be a way out. There are lots of kind people that would help you out. 😇
