Face Challenges with Courage and Succeed !

It was right after Hurricane Katrina hit Louisiana in 2005, my employer deputed me as a Program Manager to work for a new Client here. It was a nightmare stepping in with no Hotels or Apartments available, long queues at gas stations and restaurants. Even with such extraneous circumstances, Client wanted us to kick-start the engagement right away. It was the era of no smart phones, super-fast internet, and gadgets like we have today.  Interestingly, I can’t move into an apartment for next couple of months and the new team members must come in as well along with me to start the work. I had to work with lot of limitations but without compromising the quality of work (of course, I also had to impress our new client to build, nurture and strengthen the relationship to take it a long way).  Sleepless nights of struggle and frustrations dealing with issues, refraining from escalations. All the resilience, patience and hard work paid off resulting in establishing our brand-new team, train them and be productive within the committed timelines. The point here is that the entire team joined hands understanding the gravity of the situation and worked so hard to put up with Client on this success journey. Finally, we worked with the same client for 16 years in a row.

From this long journey to cherish for my lifetime, it is not always smooth and easy ride on all projects, but our “Never Give Up” attitude with a collaborative team having our back will take us through a successful journey and reach our destination.
