I have completed my BTech(Engineering) in Computer Science stream and MBA ( HR & Marketing) from one of the reputed universities in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. Post completion of my MBA, I got into a recruitment firm through college placement as a Technical Recruiter. I always dream big and very passionate towards whatever I do. I always wanted to get into HR Generalist/ HR Business Partner/ Core HR related role but I never got any such opportunities into core HR related roles. I was getting offer from reputed MNCs for their Talent Acquisition professional’s role. I had done core Hr professional training courses from one of the reputed Institute from Bangalore in the year-2012. I faced many challenges, struggles in my career but nothing can stop me to aspire big. I am very clear about my goal and aspiration. I switched from recruitment firm to another Indian MNC and finally I landed myself at IBM India Pvt Ltd in the year-2015 in TA team. I am always thankful to IBM, where I am able to achieve a long-time pending dream. Here, I joined as a Recruitment consultant grew up into TAP, Senior TAP and handled many critical, niche skills competencies hiring and infact I worked as a SPOC from IBM side to one of the IBM Acquired companies and managed their entire recruitment life cycle. I am a very passionate learner and till now I maintain this habit in my career. Firstly, I found a Mentor from IBM Career, then enrolled myself into stretch assignments for core HR under the guidance of my mentor. I increased my learning hours and earned some core HR badges from Y&L portal. Then, I created my profile at IJP( Internal Job Portal) and discussed with the higher authority about my career preferences at IBM. I got full support from previous manager and with upline approvals, I kept on applying various internal HR partner roles at IBM. I prepared myself for the interview and finally landed up into my dream role and currently working as Account HR role ( Client side) earlier it was HRBP.
I strongly believe that there is no shortcut way to success. We need to dream high, so that our dream should make us feel restless. Our restlessness should act as a driving factor to plan strategies about how to achieve our aim or goal. We should not stop ourselves from putting efforts out of fear. It is absolutely ok, if we won’t get success at first instance. Life is a journey not a race. Life expects us to be honest towards ourselves, our dream and put diligent effort to try it out and gain experience. I believe, when someone put effort everyday diligently then nothing is impossible. It is well said, Impossible is “I-M-Possible”.
