Life takes incredible turns, trust them and trust yourself :)

My story starts when at the ripe age of 19 years old, I got “kicked out” from my home and had to find a way to sustain myself and have somewhat a decent quality of life.

Prior to this cannon event, I had always been a family kind of kid, I barely went out to parties or reunions, my parents drove me everywhere and I had never gone out to other cities without my parents, so suddenly finding myself in a complete freedom and responsibility about myself was great but also very uncomfortable, suddenly not having someone telling me what to do and in a certain way part of my support system was definitely something I had to get used to.

To make ends meet, I took a job at a bakery earning $29 USD or $500 MXN per week. which was barely something and without the help of the people around me I wouldn’t have survived but my plan wasn’t to stay there a very long time, when I was in high school, I was part of the robotics team where I learned a little about programming languages and how to code. This experience sparked an idea: what if I pursued a career in this field? And to be quite honest I never imagined that this thought would get me this far.

So, my plan was set in motion. I started my self-learning journey, the most challenging part I think was not falling into the rabbit holes of programming languages, the ones that have tried learning to code on their own will understand this, everyone is telling you every framework and every programming language is “the best” and “why you should choose x over y” and it can get very overwhelming, very fast. Fortunately, I found a boot camp that made things way easier, and then everything started falling into pieces, a friend of a friend offered me a job, I took it, and I started learning a lot of different cool things such as data analysis, marketing, web design, agile methodologies and before I knew I landed a job at IBM, pretty crazy, right?

Also, shout out to my dog Milo, without you this path would've been boring and just plain horrible, I love you man <3
