Hello Everyone,
I am Hashan Bernard and I am from Sri Lanka. Currently I am working as an IT professional, Educator, and Independent Researcher. I started my career path as a Trainee IT Technician in 2014 and currently I am working as an Assitant Manager in IT. I have understand my passion in cybersecurity and I have learned so many concepts and techniques by myself using open-learning materials. Now I am in the process of developing a way to transfer my knowledge and experience to our next generations. To achieve this goal I started my own Institute recently and working on knowledge management and knowlege sharing activities.
My favourite thing about working with communities is knowledge sharing because knowledge is an invaluable asset. In modern age there are so many resource we can learn and improve our knowledge because of this sometimes we are get lost identifying what are the most suitable paths for us with our passion and capabilities. Ultimately this will cause a lot of time and money waste for learners. As a professional we have a social responsibility to educate our young people and fresh blood to the industry.
I have a community goal to build 1,000 IT and cybersecurity professionals to the Sri Lankan workforce (job market) by the end of 2025 with the assistance of learning partners like IBM SkillBuild. If I could get a better opportunity to connect with the world and communities like this, I would like to extend my goal into the global scale.
Gaining knowledge is the first step to wisdom, sharing it is the first step to humanity.
Thank you for your time and I wish you all the very best in all your future endevours!
